We are roaring like a lion in March with opportunities for the McQuaid community to pray, dance, and learn! We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events.

UPCOMING PA EVENTS:

Middle School Parent Mixer - Friday, March 16 at 7 p.m. in the Wegman Center Atrium
ATTENTION MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS – The Middle School Mixer is an evening event for all parents of Middle School students beginning at 7 p.m. on March 16. The mixer coincides with the Seventh and Eighth Grade Activity Night. Drop off the kids and head to the Wegman Center for an enjoyable social where wine, beer, food, and fun will be served.

“Praying with the Passion of Jesus” Lenten Reflections - March 21 from 8:10-8:30 a.m. in the Chapel
Led by Dr. Damian Zynda, the “Praying with the Passion of Jesus” retreat will allow participants to enter into how Ignatius invited us to pray with the Passion of Jesus. Each gathering will include a prayer experience, reflection on that experience, an opportunity for sharing of graces and a handout for the week to guide one’s personal prayer.

“Mom Prom” 2018, Doubletree Hotel Rochester, Friday April 13 from 6-11 p.m.
The Mother-Son Social, affectionately referred to as "Mom Prom," is a memorable evening for high school students to enjoy dinner and dancing with their mothers and those who serve our students as mothers. This year's event takes place on Friday, April 13 from 6-11 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel Rochester (Henrietta). The evening starts with a social hour followed by dinner, dancing, and a lovely and fun evening for all. Tickets are $40 per person - click here

M & M Junior & Senior Class Service : Sunday, April 15 from 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Mercy and McQuaid Service is enlisting members of the junior and senior classes who want to help with Spring cleanup and celebrate mass with students from Mercy and the House of Mercy community on Sunday, April 15 from 9:30 a.m..to 1:30 p.m. To sign up and learn more about this M&M event - click here

The Principal’s Office/PA Speaker Series: John Engels - Monday, April 16 at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium
Who produces leaders? Family? School? Both? Please join us on Monday, April 16 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium for our final speaker in this year's PA/Principal's Office speaker series, John Engels as he presents, "Stimulating Leadership: How Parents Promote Self-Awareness and Maturity in the Family." Mr. Engels is the president of Leadership Coaching, Inc., a company that helps leaders advance emotional maturity and self-responsibility by combining family systems knowledge with the science of evolutionary leadership. Mr. Engels works with leaders from Rochester and throughout the United States. His vast clientele includes Mann's Jewelers, T.Rowe Price, and Ronald McDonald's House charities.

M & M Freshmen & Sophomore Class Service : Sunday, May 6 from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Mercy and McQuaid Service is enlisting members of the freshman and sophomore classes who want to help with Spring cleanup and celebrate mass with students from Mercy and the House of Mercy community on Sunday, May 6 from 9:30 a.m..to 1:30 p.m. To sign up and learn more about this M&M event - click here

UPCOMING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Mothers for Others - Ice Pack Covers for Golisano Children’s Hospital, Wednesday, March 21 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Mothers for Others has a special evening event. Michelle Young has graciously offered to host an evening of sewing and socializing. On Wednesday, March 21, we will be meeting at her home from 6:30-9:30 p.m. to sew ice pack covers for Golisano Children’s Hospital. Don’t worry if your sewing skills are non-existent—we need fabric cutters, folders, and pressers, as well! To sign up - click here

BASH 2018 Adult Volunteers Needed - Friday, March 23 - Sunday, March 25
BASH weekend is Friday, March 23 - Sunday, March 25. We will need help with set up, clean up and with events throughout the weekend. Teacher & Staff Appreciation Luncheon
​​​​​​​The teacher & staff appreciation luncheon was a yummy success! A huge thank you to Mary Marrocco, Glenna Colaprete, Kristen Goodwin, Rosie Foster, Judy Pribe, and the entire committee and to all of our parent and student volunteers for helping us show our McQuaid teachers and staff how much we appreciate the work they do every day.
