Fifth Year Cohort Formation
In the “Contemplation on the Love of God,” at the conclusion of the Spiritual Exercises, St. Ignatius invites the wisdom of “taking the long look back,” helping people identify and embrace graces and gifts given before proceeding into the future. As discernment involves two conversation partners, this year of formation welcomes conversation between member of the cohort and Principal Baber. Through the experiences of prayer and reflection, mastery gained in the previous four years of formation, this phase of formation asks, “What do you desire?” As this year brings each member of the cohort to the threshold of a deeper commitment to McQuaid Jesuit and McQuaid Jesuit’s commitment to each member, formation takes place in the matrix of a personal review and discernment of each member’s gifts and talents, desires, areas of growth and hopes regarding continued association with the community and mission of McQuaid Jesuit.
Outcomes |
At the conclusion of the year members of this cohort will appropriate and discern all aspects of formation and professional experience in a formal discernment for more permanent commitment to McQUaid Jesuit’s community and Mission. |
