Close to 50 young alumni of McQuaid Jesuit came back Monday morning, January 11 to partake in the inaugural "Young Alumni College Fair." The fair was an opportunity for current students to speak with alumni about the college search process, what led them to choose the school they did, and how the transition from McQuaid to college was for them.
"It was great to see such a large turnout of alumni for an inaugural event like this," said Sean Mullen, '02, McQuaid Jesuit's Director of Communications and Alumni Relations. "For these recent graduates to voluntarily come back to the school and speak with current students says a lot about the brotherhood formed here."
The guidance and alumni offices plan to make this an annual tradition at the school.
"This event provided a unique opportunity to bring our alumni back and give great insight into what they experienced during their college search process," said Margaret Gorton, McQuaid Jesuit's Director of Guidance. "It's also great for our current students to hear what the transition from McQuaid Jesuit to college is like from those who recently experienced it."
