Books #1 Pool and LaRoe, The Instant Economist. Highly recommended- Easy to read- Short- Provides a common sense explanation of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Written in 1776 this book provides great insight into what the American capitalistic system was built around. Written in 1936, Keynes attacked Say's Law and Classical Economics during one of the hardest economic time periods in United States history- The Great Depression. Keynesian Economics was followed for decades afterward. Read this book and gain an understanding of fiscal policy in America during the 20th century. A tough read. Written as a fictional novel, this story takes a critical look at the "Taker" society. Many philosophical questions are raised in this book- but one of the biggest is the concept of CAPITALISM.
