Higher Achievement Program
In 1968, McQuaid Jesuit and other schools in the New York Province instituted Higher Achievement Programs as an outreach to their communities.
McQuaid's HAP is a five-week summer program of academics, athletics, activities and trips. HAP students are young men who have completed seventh grade and attend middle schools throughout Monroe County. Last Summer, students attended HAP from the following schools: Siena Catholic Academy, True North Rochester Prep, A.D. Oliver Middle, Twelve Corners Middle, Martha Brown Middle, Calkins Road Middle, East High, Monroe High, Wilson Foundation Academy, Archangel School, and Nathaniel Rochester.
2013 will be HAP's 46th summer at McQuaid Jesuit! HAP starts this year on July 1st (with days off on July 4th and 5th), and ends on August 1st. The normal day runs from 8:40 to 1:50.
At the bottom of this page, under "HAP Resources" there is an application form, as well as a brochure and other documents providing more details. We would love to work with you this summer!
There is still room in the program. We will be accepting applications through June. Please feel free to call Andy Cavacos, the program director, at 256-6118 or e-mail acavacos@mcquaid.org.
