Why Give?

The answer is pretty simple: 841. Need to know more? In the 2011 - 2012 school year, there are 841 young men who are benefitting from a McQuaid Jesuit education. They are young men who are on a path - not simply from boyhood to manhood - but to becoming a McQuaid Jesuit Knight - "a man for others."

Parents for over five decades have entrusted their sons to us with the hope, and the expectation, that we will help him bridge the gap from boyhood to manhood. Still today, parents want to ensure that their sons receive the values and formation that will serve him for life, as much as an excellent academic preparation for college.

Tuition revenue only covers approximately 84% of the cost to educate each young man. It is the responsibility of the Advancement Department each year to raise those additional funds so that a McQuaid Jesuit education will be available to all who want it now and into the future.

McQuaid Jesuit continues to not only exist, but to thrive, because of the commitment of so many to the school. Alumni, current and past parents, friends and other benefactors each year give generously to provide the funds we need. No one person can do it alone, but each and every gift we receive directly impacts the young men, the Knights of McQuaid Jesuit.
