- Academic Challenge Bowl
This masterminds club for Middle School students competes against other schools in a Jeopardy-like game once a month from December to April. Read more
- Accolade (Yearbook)
The Accolade staff is responsible for designing and putting together the McQuaid Yearbook. That includes gathering information and photographs through the course of the year and writing commentary. The staff meets through the end of March, almost every day. Read more
- Art Club
If you are interested in art, then this club is for you. Activities are student driven. No prior experience is necessary and all from grades 7-12 are welcome. Field trips to local and regional galleries and museums can happen if there is interest. Read more
- Biodiversity Project
The Biodiversity Project is a school-based gardening and public service project, where students can earn MAGIS credit for the time they devote to planning, planting, tending and harvesting. Food deliveries to a local food bank are made during August and September. This activity is open to students in grades 7 through 12 and is a good preparation for a career in biology, botany, or environmental science. Read more

- Campus Ministry Board
The Campus Ministry Board (CMB) is a student-led organization that focuses on the spiritual development of the students here at McQuaid. The CMB is open to all students in grades 9 through 12. The goal of the CMB is to develop Christian leaders who realize God is central in their lives. Read more
- Chess Club / Team
Knights of all grades compete against each other and students from other schools in one of the world's oldest games. Read more
- Computer Club
Refurbishing computers for charities and talking about computer topics are this club's primary activities.. Read more
- Drama Club
Drama club is responsible for student directed plays. Each year, one student is chosen to produce a full length play of his choice. Read more
- Film Appreciation Club
Join this club to view a wide range of films throughout the school year. Read more
- Film Production Club
If you are interested in professional filmmaking, this is the right club for you. Members write, edit, and film a thirty-minute film. Read more
- FIRST Robotics
This activity offers students the opportunity to work in teams with professional mechanical, electrical and software engineers to design and build a competition robot. It requires attendance at two after-school sessions and all-day Saturday during the January to mid February period. Read more

We're interested in everything that's francophone! We're hoping to do several short trips this year. Anyone who is taking or has taken French is welcome to join. Read more
- Green Knights
We are forming a new organization for students, faculty, and staff committed to conservation, sustainability, and caring for God's creation called the Green Knights. We will work to preserve and enjoy the natural world through education, service, and recreation. What does a green knight do? A green knight recycles and goes white water rafting. A green knights composts and goes camping. A green knight advocates for environmentally friendly legislation, and hikes Adirondack high peaks. Read more

- Habitat for Humanity Club
The mission of the McQuaid Jesuit Habitat for Humanity Club is to gather students together to raise awareness, advocate for affordable housing, conduct fundraisers and provide building support for local Habitat projects. Read more
- Historical Gaming Club
Every Friday students play strategy games based on historical Battles or Strategic conflicts overtime. Students recreate WWII battles and modern combat with games and miniatures. Read more
- Intramurals
The Physical Education Department coordinates the intramural sports program that occurs during flex time. Sports change by the season, and each intramural will describe the grade levels allowed to participate. Students who fit these criteria and are not on a varsity sport or academic probation are encouraged to participate. Read more
- Investment Club
Learn the fundamentals of the stock market. Everything from basic definitions to the fundamentals of picking a stock will be covered. The highlight of the year will be a contest involving the selection of stocks. Read more
- Italian Club
The McQuaid Italian Club is a group of Italian fanatics who love the Italian language and culture. Read more
- Jazz Band
Is an beginner to intermediate band focusing on different styles of musical repertoire. Read more
- Jazz Ensemble
This is an ensemble for students who already have jazz experience and would like to continue. Auditions will be held in September. Read more
- JETS Team
The team, comprised of eight members, participates in the Test of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science sponsored by the Junior Engineering Technical Society. The test consists of questions representing college freshman-level engineering coursework. It offers students the opportunity to see how engineering touches numerous aspects of our lives. Students are chosen by recommendation of math and science teachers. Read more
- Kennings (Literary Magazine)
Kennings is McQuaid's annual art and literary magazine. Published once a year, it contains the best literature, photography and art that McQuaid students offer. Any student in the school can submit his material to the Kennings staff. The staff is responsible for soliciting material from the student body, selecting the finest representative work, and laying out the magazine. Read more
- Knights of Sleight
Students already involved in, or those interested in, magic will learn new tricks to be performed before club members. Selected members will perform their routines as MAGIS work (at hospitals, etc.). A reflection component is required as the result of any community service. Read more
- Masterminds
Masterminds is an academic challenge competition with other schools in a College Bowl format. Four students on each team compete for two seven minute periods. Read more
- Math Olympiad
Math Olympiad is a National Middle School math contest. Individuals answer challenging questions and are ranked against all other participating schools. McQuaid's top two contestants receive medals. Read more
- McQuaid Productions
During the academic year, McQuaid and female students join to present two major theatre productions, one comedy or drama and one musical. Casting for these shows is open to students in grades 9 through 12; however, certain shows may call for middle school students as well. There is also a need for students interested in the technical aspects of theatre, including set construction, lighting, and sound. Read more
- Middleman Messenger (Newspaper)
The Middleman Messenger is a student-run newspaper for the middle school where students write and publish the articles. Read more
- Mock Trial
The group is given a hypothetical trial case (either civil or criminal). Students assume roles normally in one of four categories: defense witness, defense lawyers, prosecution witness and prosecution lawyers. Read more
- Model United Nations
Model U.N. is a student directed activity. Solve world problems - meet Girls. Participation and the level of that participation are determined solely by the student membership. In a typical year, three weekend conferences are attended. Membership is open to all students in grades 9 through 12. Read more
- National Honor Society
Juniors and Seniors with a cumulative average of 90.0 are invited to apply. Applicants are admitted based on a review of their scholarship, leadership, character and community service. Members are required to participate in peer tutoring and other school-related service. Read more
- Physics through Literature Club
Read assigned passages or articles on exciting Pysics topics and discuss. Have fun! Read more
- Seismograph
The McQuaid Jesuit Odenbach Seismic Observatory became operational in the 1960's. We monitor seismic activity from anywhere on the globe and correlate this information with the USGS to locate earthquakes that occur. Read more
- Shutout Productions
Shutout Films is a Limited Liability Corporation that specializes in the writing, shooting, and producing of short films and feature length movies. Currently our group spans across the Greater Rochester Area. Other schools include Allendale Columbia and Penfield High School. Read more
- Simba Society
The Simba Society is the student spirit organization dedicated to cheering the Knights and promoting school spirit. The club organizes various events throughout the year, including the annual bonfire. Read more
- Ski and Board Club
The McQuaid Ski and Board Club is open to any student wanting to ski/snowboard or learn to ski/snowboard. The 2012-13 club runs for six consecutive Fridays beginning on January 4th from 3PM until 10PM. Membership is limited to the first 50 students who submit their order. Read more
- Spanish Club
The Spanish Club is a group of enthusiasts of Spanish languages and cultures. We meet to plan field trips and to enjoy Spanish music, movies, and food. Read more
- Speech & Debate
This club competes in about one dozen tournaments in the Rochester area. Topics for speech and debate include the Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, Public Forum Debate, Original Oratory, Dramatic Interpretation, and Duo Interpretation. Read more
- Student Government
Elected class officials represent each specific year in Student Government. Officers coordinate events for the individual grade. Your grade representatives are your voice in school affairs. Read more
- The Lance
The Lance is a school newspaper that the students of McQuaid Jesuit High School operate. The newspaper covers the McQuaid community and the world, offering an array of news, opinion, features and sports. It is printed six to eight times a year. No prior experience is necessary; only the desire to write! Read more
- Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate is a game in which teams advance the disc down the field to score touchdowns. A particularly admirable aspect of Ultimate is the "Spirit of the Game". At no level of competition are there referees; players enforce the rules themselves. Read more
- Youth and Government
Youth in Government is a student-run club that provides students the opportunity to participate in our democratic system by modeling legislators, judges, lawyers, journalists, lobbyists, and the executive branch in participation with other schools in Monroe County and New York State. Students participate in a mock NY State government held in the Legislative Chambers of the State Capital in Albany. Read more
