Absences
If your son is absent from school, please remember to call the Attendance Office. If he has a fever, he should stay home for 24 hours after the fever breaks. Upon his return, he should bring in a note signed by a parent or guardian explaining his absence.

Change of Address
Notify the Main Office (585) 256-6176 if you have a change of address, phone number or email address. If your school District changes as well, you need to register with the new School District and indicate your son is enrolled at McQuaid Jesuit.
Daily Announcements
Access the morning announcements from the website under Quicklinks and “The Daily”.
Email Communications
Email is our major means of communication. We only use your emails for school use. We try to keep the emails to a minimum. If you change your email, or would prefer to have us use a different or an additional email, just let us know. Teachers do not have phones in their classrooms, so the best way to communicate with a teacher is by email.
For a complete listing of Faculty and Staff emails, see the Directory
Monthly Newsletter
Each month you will receive the Principal’s Monthly Newsletter by email. You may also access the newsletter on the website under either the Academics or the Parents tab.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher conferences are held twice a year; once in the fall and once in the spring. There are no appointments required for these evenings. If you are unable to attend, you can email your son’s teachers. See Calendar for dates.
Parents’ Mini Class Night
At the beginning of the school year, a parents’ mini-class night is held, which is open to parents of all students. The parent follows a shortened version of the student’s schedule to become acquainted with the sequence of courses, the teachers and the teachers’ plans for the courses. Refreshments follow in the school cafeteria. See Calendar for dates.
Progress Reports & Report Cards
Every five weeks you will receive a report of your son's academic progress. We ask that parents review these reports with their sons, sign and return one copy to school. See Calendar for dates.
