AP Computer Science (1 CREDIT)
A continuation of the basic-level programming class, this course prepares students for the AP Computer Science A exam in May, 2004. This year is the first in which the exam will cover the Java rather than the C++ language. Covered AP exam topics include arrays, strings, matrices, classes and objects, and selection and sorting techniques. Many students will find the comprehensive review of the Marine Biology fish simulation a fascinating exercise combining real-life behavior modeling with object oriented programming principles.  This course requires the completion of the second-level Algebra course, a grade of better than 85 in the Introduction to Programming course. Taking the AP Computer Science Exam is required of all course participants
