Overlook Farm Service Trip Overview
Summer 2005
“I learned that there are many people that have to work on an
empty stomach and that even one animal helps them a lot”
-Student participant
Summary
The week of July 18 to 23, ten incoming freshmen and their leaders went to Heifer International’s Overlook Farm in Massachusetts to learn about global hunger. This was a hands-on, action based learning experience for the students. The students learned about global hunger and helped take care of rabbits, guinea pigs, donkeys, llamas, and goats.
