Youth in Government enhances the development of the American Democratic
system by enabling young people to prepare for value-based political leadership
through experiential learning. Youth in Government is a student-run club that
provides students the opportunity to participate in our democratic system by
modeling legislators, judges, lawyers, journalists, lobbyists, and the executive
branch in participation with other schools in Monroe County and New York
State.
Students participate in a mock NY State government held in the Legislative Chambers of the State Capital in Albany.
