PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
REQUIREMENTS
New York State law
requires parents or guardians to furnish a certificate of physical examination
for any student new to McQuaid. The
physical exam must be conducted after January 1 of the year the student enters
school. Students entering seventh and tenth grade are also mandated by New York
State to have a physical exam with their physician prior to the start of their
school year. A Nurse
Practitioner conducts physical exams for students at McQuaid three times
throughout the school year -- August, November, and February. In the event that a student requires a
physical and is unable to obtain an appointment with their private
physician, they may have it done at school with written parent
permission (see download link below). The exception to this is the
student in either seventh or tenth grade, who must have a physical with
their pediatrician or an associate in the office.
